Scholarships

As an organization comprised of educators at all levels of the academic spectrum, from principals, teachers, and professors to presidents, vice presidents, and deans, BSL Educational Foundation knows firsthand the challenge of educating today’s youth and is poised to reverse the negative trends that have come to represent young men of color nationally.

Through generous donations by members of Beta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, the State of Connecticut, and countless others, scholarships and awards are provided to encourage and support young men of color to commit to and complete both their high school and college degrees, assisting in removing barriers that may prevent them from discovering the possibilities afforded to college-educated men.

Youth Development

All youth have great potential. We work every day to help our youth set and achieve personal and educational goals. Hundreds of children and teens build skills and confidence as they explore new interests and passions through our annual Bro. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Contest, Project Alpha/Alpha Esquire, The Dream Chaser Program, and The RE: IMAGINE Leadership Clinic.
