Bro. Dr. MLK Young People’s Oratorical Contest

The BSL Educational Foundation Inc., Bro. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Young People’s Oratorical Contest is designed to allow Greater Hartford students to shine through public speaking. Participants must recite original essays, poems, or skits about our 2025 theme: Today We Make History.

Each group (middle and high school) will have scholarship opportunities ranging from $150.00 to $1,000.00. For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, a panel of judges selects a winner from each division to receive such book scholarships.
